Manlius Library - Sewing Day
Manlius Library – blanket top day
We had a Wonderful sewing day November 2nd at the Manlius Library. All the (Manlius Library Blanketeers) created 15 blanket tops that day. We had lots of laughs and some cake, we debated pressing open seams or pressing to one side. You know, we discussed the important issues facing us all. So a huge thank you to our Manlius Blanketeers : Julie, Gail, Emily, Eileen, Angela, Pat, Anne, Lydia, Julie, Yvonne, Christine, Madeleine and Sherry for the great work. Fifteen more kids will have a nice warm blanket.
Our next sew a blanket top day is going to be January 4th from 1pm to 4pm. Bring your sewing machine or let me know and I can bring one of mine or sign you up for one of the Library’s 5 machines and you can join in the fun. If you don’t want to sew, we can put you at an ironing station to iron seems, or you can just walk around and help those with less sewing knowledge. I will have material kits again. Please don’t bring material of your own unless you want to donate it. I am trying to use up donations and the kits I have are made up to create blankets the size I need.
