We accept all kinds of blankets, as long as they are brand new and handmade.  We cannot accept gently used or store bought blankets.

We use fleece tie blankets as long as they are made using our directions for making fleece tie blankets.   In our directions the salvage edge needs to be cut off.  This is the side edges the curl  and the corners need to be cut out.  Cutting out the corners help to make the blankets lay flat.

We accept booth crochet and knit blankets.  Please remember to weave in all your yarn tails.  Leaving long tails on blankets is a chocking hazard.  We do not accept blankets made of wool yarns.

We accept quilts. Please do not use wool materials in your quilts, cotton, fleece or flannel only.

Blanket sizes

Approximate Sizes

Baby / Toddler 36x36, 36x40

Grade School 40x45

Teen 45x50, 50x60 or bigger.

Please try to coordinate your prints on your blankets with the age appropriate size.  Baby elephant blankets should not 50x60 in size.   I know a crib size blanket is 36x52.  However for safety reasons the American Association of Pediatrics recommends not covering a child in the crib.  Therefore, I like our baby blankets at their largest to be 40x40.  Something that as the child grows to toddler they can carry to the couch and cover up to watch TV.

Teen size blankets should be at least 45 x 48 or larger.   A teen size blanket that is 36x50 will cover them, but if they move they will have to adjust the blanket, because it is not wide enough.

Blankets can be delivered to any of our drop-off  sites.  Blankets should be placed in a bag to keep them clean.  They should have a note saying for Project Linus and have your contact information on it.
